Art teacher Helen Jorjorian passed away on May 4. During her 21 years at Hoover, she taught Art, Draw and Paint, Commercial Multimedia, and AP Studio Art.

“She was a dedicated teacher, and she will be very missed,” art teacher Mary Anna Pomonis said.

It has not been determined who will replace her classes yet, which are currently being supervised by a substitute teacher. The department chairs and administrators will work to make sure the students’ projects receive proper attention and just grades.

“Miss Jorjorian was a sweet teacher, always patient with her students,” Arsinae Garbian (’10) said.
